JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Your jobresponsibilities will include,

 

      Managing execution oftransaction structuring assignments involving evaluation of alternative optionsincluding merger, demerger, slump sale etc. 

      Liaising with cross functionalteams for their inputs from regulatory or stamp act perspective to provide aholistic solution in connection with any transaction advisory project

      Managing tax due diligence frombuy-side or sale-side support as may be applicable; 

      Working out Income Tax RuleValuations as may be applicable eg. Rule 11UA, Rule 11UAE

      Finalising client deliverablesin consultation with the reporting supervisor 

      Managing overall taxcompliances for a portfolio of clients (generally large accounts with multipleentities in group). This would involve handling advisory, litigation andbusiness tax requirements of clients, comprising of:

o    Withholding tax advisory on foreign remittance 

o    Preparing and Reviewing key corporate tax returns and vetting of taxpositions

o    Undertaking research on various platforms 

o    Drafting submissions and attending to notices from the TaxDepartment

o    Contributing to tax alerts, articles etc.

DESIRED CANDIDATEPROFILE:

 

      A strong passion and interestfor tax

      0-2 years of experience in,

·                    Income tax advisory, litigationand compliance

·                    Assignments involving technicalresearch          

·                    Basic understanding on TransferPricing

·                    Project Management skills 

·                    Working knowledge of DomesticTax and Compliances

·                    Knowledge on interpretation ofdouble tax avoidance agreements

·                    Working knowledge of TransferPricing principles

·                    Experience in/exposure toM&A transactions will be an added advantage

·                    Experience in/exposure to FEMAwill be an added advantage

·                    Very good communication skillsincluding legal/technical drafting

·                    Very good interpersonal skills
