GST Council defers decision on 28% GST on casinos, online gaming; GoM to submit report by July 15

The two-day GST council meeting, headed by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, in Chandigarh concluded on Wednesday. After the meeting, FM Sitharaman announced that the proposal to levy 28 per cent GST on casinos, online gaming, horse racing and lottery has been deferred.
